Several years ago, local wino, chowhound and event guru, Jen Doak was approached by Gibson Guitars to generate publicity for their forthcoming showroom.
Doak understood that Seattle is not only home to a thriving music scene but is the heir to a lionshare of the state’s artisanal offerings. In a nutshell, Seattleites love their craft beverages, yummy eats, and rockin’ out. So, why not put it all under one roof?
The revelation spawned Wine Rocks – an occasion to party with premier, local purveyors
who not only share a penchant
for listening to great music but
also laying down worthy tracks.
Next up: spreading the good
word…Jamie Peha of Peha
Promotions was enlisted for
her event know-how and
promotional savvy. Her
discerning eye, sophisticated
palate, and creative outlook
put the proverbial icing on the
cake.
Since its initial run, the event
has only gained momentum
and evolved in scope. A
diverse playlist features
winemakers channeling their
inner rock star as well as a
host of favorite, local bands.
The catalogue of libations has
expanded to include more
winemakers, newly minted
distilleries, and microbrews.
You won’t go thirsty!
Nor will you go hungry. In addition
to complementary hors d'oeuvres, some of Seattle’s best food trucks
will be parked at the pier, selling their mouthwatering creations and
guaranteeing a happy belly.
Central to Wine Rocks’ philosophy is paying it forward. Event proceeds benefit organizations that focus on enabling local
entrepreneurship, empowering industry professionals, and
furthering statewide production.
With all this good mojo in one prime location, no wonder Wine Rocks is a sell out event. Don’t be left at the curb, snag your tickets in
